The joys of working from home
So, my beloved mother-in-law clipped this out of the newspaper. I think she knows me pretty well by now. When it gets busy around here, she is always quick to help out with babysitting. My mom helps out too, always asking me if I need help or if it has been a busy week. Yesterday, she surprised me and picked up the kids so I could get some work done. Sigh--I'm so thankful for family.I'd like to think I'm better than this-the comic that is. Well certainly, my olive skin would never turn that red, nor would I wear that outfit or use that fabric choice ha ha! I have to admit though, that I do have my days. Sometimes running a business and staying at home with 2 little boys doesn't mix. But, I am so thankful to be able to do it. I get asked a lot "How do you do it?" First of all, it takes lots and lots of coffee, a love for your craft, determination and sometimes just plain old-fashion sleep deprivation. Sometimes I am in awe of a few famous blog-moms who seem to have it all together all the time. I certainly don't. I do love what I do, however, and that makes it all worth it.
My oldest son is my biggest fan. He tells everyone that his mommy "makes the beautiful-est fabric in the world." He's an accomplished artist, that one, or maybe I'm his biggest fan in return. I'm glad to share this venture with my family. It's so much fun!
xo,
Tara Anne
